Reasonable efforts are made to provide accurate information, but typographical errors or unintentional inaccuracies may occasionally occur. Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other costs will be shown before checkout when required. Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. An order may be declined or canceled for reasons including product unavailability, suspected fraud, pricing errors, payment problems, or other legitimate business reasons. If payment has already been collected for an order that cannot be fulfilled, the appropriate refund will be issued. ## 5. Signed, Inscribed, and Personalized Books Signed, inscribed, or otherwise personalized books are prepared specifically for the purchaser or intended recipient. Because of their customized nature, **personalized and inscribed books are final sale once personalization has been completed**, except when: * The wrong item was sent; * The personalization materially differs from the information submitted with the order; * The item arrives damaged; or * A return or refund is otherwise required by applicable law. Customers are responsible for reviewing names, spellings, dedications, and personalization instructions carefully before submitting an order. Requests to change personalized orders should be made as soon as possible. Changes cannot be guaranteed after preparation has begun. ## 6. Returns and Refunds ### Unsigned Physical Products Unless a product page states otherwise, an unsigned physical item may be returned within **14 days after delivery** if it is unused, unread, and in its original condition. The purchaser is generally responsible for return shipping costs unless the return results from an error on our part or the product arrived damaged or defective. Original shipping charges are generally nonrefundable except where required by law or when the return results from our error. ### Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders If an order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within **7 days of delivery** and include the order information and, when reasonably possible, photographs showing the problem. Depending on the circumstances, we may provide a replacement, refund, or other appropriate resolution. ### Final-Sale Items Unless otherwise required by law, the following may be treated as final-sale items: * Personalized or inscribed books; * Digital downloads; * Downloadable materials that have been accessed; * Gift cards; * Special-order merchandise; and * Event-related purchases identified as nonrefundable at the time of purchase. Any specific return or cancellation terms displayed on a product or event page become part of these Terms for that transaction. ## 7. Order Cancellations Orders may be canceled before fulfillment begins when reasonably possible. A signed, inscribed, personalized, or specially prepared item may no longer be eligible for cancellation after preparation has begun. To request cancellation, contact **[am@amyoungauthor.com](mailto:am@amyoungauthor.com)** as soon as possible. ## 8. Shipping and Delivery Shipping estimates displayed on the Site or during checkout are estimates unless expressly identified as guaranteed. Delivery time may be affected by carrier operations, weather, holidays, inventory availability, address errors, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to ship merchandise within the time represented at the time of purchase. If an order cannot be shipped within the represented timeframe, customers will be provided any notice, cancellation opportunity, refund, or other remedy required by applicable law. Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. We are not responsible for delivery delays or losses resulting from an incorrect address submitted by the purchaser. Additional shipping charges may apply if an order must be reshipped because of incorrect customer-provided information. ## 9. Purchases Through Other Retailers Books by A. M. Young may also be available through third-party retailers, distributors, bookstores, or marketplaces. When you purchase through another company, that company's pricing, payment, shipping, return, privacy, and customer-service policies govern the transaction. We do not control and are not responsible for a third-party seller's policies, inventory, shipping practices, website operation, or customer-service decisions. Questions concerning purchases made through another retailer should generally be directed to that retailer. ## 10. Events and RSVPs The Site may offer registration or RSVP opportunities for book releases, readings, signings, speaking appearances, virtual events, or other activities. Event dates, locations, schedules, speakers, programming, capacity, and other details may change when reasonably necessary. Any additional cancellation, ticketing, attendance, photography, recording, accessibility, or venue rules displayed for a particular event become part of the terms applicable to that event. Submitting an RSVP does not guarantee admission when an event has capacity limits unless the registration page expressly states otherwise. ## 11. Email Communications If you voluntarily subscribe to an email list or request updates, you may receive communications relating to books, events, author news, announcements, or other content described when you subscribed. You may unsubscribe from promotional email communications using the unsubscribe option provided in those messages. Transactional communications related to purchases, registrations, account matters, or requests you initiate may still be sent when necessary. ## 12. Reviews, Messages, and Other User Submissions Visitors may occasionally be able to submit reviews, comments, questions, testimonials, contact messages, or other content. You retain ownership of original content you submit. When you intentionally submit content for public display, publication, testimonial use, or promotional consideration, you grant us a nonexclusive, royalty-free right to reproduce, display, format, and use that submission for the purpose for which it was provided, unless otherwise agreed. Private communications submitted through contact forms or email are not treated as public testimonials merely because they were submitted through the Site. We reserve the right not to publish or to remove public submissions that contain unlawful material, harassment, hate speech, threats, spam, personal information about others, infringement, or unrelated promotional content. ## 13. Literary, Educational, and Personal Content Disclaimer Books, essays, journals, articles, interviews, prompts, and other materials associated with A. M. Young may explore personal experiences, relationships, resilience, identity, emotional growth, family dynamics, reflection, or similar subjects. Such content is provided for literary, informational, educational, or reflective purposes. It is not a substitute for individualized medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Readers and Site visitors are responsible for deciding whether particular content is appropriate for their circumstances and for seeking qualified professional assistance when needed. ## 14. Third-Party Websites and Services The Site may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties. These links may be provided for convenience, reference, purchasing options, interviews, reviews, media coverage, social media, or other purposes. A link does not necessarily constitute endorsement of everything appearing on a third-party website. We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, products, services, or policies. ## 15. Website Availability and Accuracy Reasonable efforts are made to maintain accurate and current information and keep the Site operating properly. However, we do not guarantee that the Site will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available. Content may occasionally contain typographical, technical, pricing, formatting, or other errors. We reserve the right to correct errors and update information when discovered. ## 16. Disclaimer of Warranties To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and its content are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. We do not make warranties regarding uninterrupted access, absolute accuracy, suitability for a particular purpose, or the availability of any specific book, product, event, feature, or service. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. ## 17. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Regal Enterprises LLC, K3 Literary, A. M. Young, and their respective representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising solely from use of or inability to use the Site. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit liability where such limitation is prohibited by law. ## 18. Indemnification To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights. This provision does not require a consumer to waive rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived. ## 19. Privacy Use of the Site is also subject to the Site's **Privacy Policy** and any applicable cookie notice or consent settings. Those policies explain how personal information may be collected, used, stored, or shared. ## 20. Changes to the Site or These Terms We may update these Terms when the Site, its services, applicable business practices, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Changes apply prospectively from the date they become effective unless otherwise required by law. Continued use of the Site after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. ## 21. Severability If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. ## 22. No Waiver Failure to enforce a provision of these Terms on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce that provision or another provision in the future. ## 23. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of the **State of Georgia, United States**, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another jurisdiction's law must apply as a matter of law. Any dispute relating to the Site or these Terms will be handled in a court with lawful jurisdiction over the dispute. Data Retention We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information. For example, transaction records may be retained as necessary for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes. You may withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing, although withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn. ## 16. International Visitors and Data Transfers Because the Site operates through Wix and may use other service providers, personal information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country in which you live. Privacy and data-protection laws differ between countries. Where required by applicable law, appropriate mechanisms or safeguards may be used in connection with international transfers of personal information. ## 17.
