Three distinct books exploring the stories we carry, the courage we discover, and the truths that remain with us.
Memoir
Guided Journal

Courage does not always arrive dramatically. Sometimes it looks like a boundary, a pause, a request, a no, a beginning, or a return to yourself. Quiet Courage offers supportive reflections, focused questions, and space to write honestly about identity, boundaries, needs, relationships, and change. It invites readers to listen more closely to their own voices, rebuild self-trust, and recognize the quieter forms of strength already present in their lives. There is no pressure to excuse what caused harm or minimize difficult experiences—only an invitation to reflect, understand, and begin standing beside yourself. In What Happens in the Family, A. M. Young confronts childhood abuse, family secrets, generational trauma, and the silence that allows harm to continue. This deeply personal memoir examines the patterns passed through a family and the lasting effects of experiences that were never supposed to be discussed. Honest, unflinching, and deeply human, it is a story of survival, truth, and the decision not to let silence have the final word.
Poetry Collection

Some marks do not fade—they remember. Fingerprints on My Glass is an intimate collection of poetry and reflection exploring love, memory, desire, family, Black identity, womanhood, relationships, disappointment, resilience, and becoming. First written between 2003 and 2006 and revisited years later, these poems preserve the questions, longings, losses, and recognitions of the women the author had been and was still becoming. Each piece carries a trace of a person, a moment, or a former self—a fingerprint left behind on the glass.

Family stories are shaped as much by what remains unspoken as by what is remembered aloud.
